Laboratory of Biophysics and Biochemistry
The Laboratory of Biophysics and Biochemistry was created in 1960 as one of three new laboratories in the Division of Biologics Standards (DBS). The Laboratory of Biophysics and Biochemistry was located in Building 29, Rooms 305 and 306 in the early 1960s. By 1971, it seems the Laboratory was either moved to another division at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) or dissolved. The Division of Biophysics and Biochemistry reemerged as a division at the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) biologics program in 1985 and was located in Building 29, fourth and fifth floors and Building 29A, Room 1B03. By 1997, it was no longer listed in the biologics section of telephone directories.
