The Laboratory of Viral Immunology was created in 1960 as one of three new laboratories in the Division of Biologics Standards (DBS). The Laboratory of Viral Immunology in the Division of Biologics Standards (DBS) at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) was located in Building 29, second floor. After Building 29A opened in 1967, the lab and its staff moved to the second and third floors of the new annex building.
