Autoclave Photos

Autoclaves are devices that use pressurized steam to kill infectious agents and denature proteins as a method of sterilization. This type of “wet heat” is considered the most dependable way to sterilize laboratory equipment and decontaminate hazardous waste. Several models of autoclaves were left in Buildings 29 and 29A.
