The Office of NIH History and Museum both conducts and collects oral histories from people associated with NIH history.
Please note that the contents of oral history interviews are personal, experiential, and interpretive by nature. Interviews report the memories, perceptions, and opinions of individuals. Thus, interviews should not be understood as simple statements of fact, and the posting of an interview does not constitute an endorsement of the statements contained in the interview by the National Institutes of Health or its employees.
Below is an alphabetical listing of oral histories currently in our collection. Since this is an ongoing project to capture the voices of the people who helped to make the NIH the nation's premier biomedical and behavioral research institution, we are always adding interviews. You are welcome to email us at [email protected] to suggest someone to interview, ask whether a transcript is in process, or request a PDF version of a posted interview.
