Maya Ponte, m.d..
Maya Ponte held her Stetten Fellowship from 2004-2005. Her research project “Transmissible Spongiform Encephalopathy in the U.S. and U.K.” documented prion research conducted through the NIH extramural program and the relationship between the research trajectories of scientists and public health concerns around prion disease transmission.
Ponte continued her MD in UCSF. She is currently a Dermatologist in San Francisco, CA.
